      November 08, 1945 - June 07, 2020
      Mary Lou Rigney Furgerson, 74, of Redbud passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020, at the UK Hospital in Lexington. Born November 8, 1945, she was a lifelong resident of Kenvir. Mary Lou was a homemaker and believed in the Church of God faith.

      She is preceded in death by her husband of over 56 years, Billy Ralph Furgerson; her parents, Clyde Rigney and Dollie Lynch Rigney; a brother, David “Hotshot” Rigney; a grandson, William Andrew Furgerson; and a great-granddaughter, Darcy Bennett.

      Survivors include six children, Tina Furgerson and special friend, Tommy Couch, Evarts; Angela Shuler and husband, Jody, Kenvir; Danny Ray Furgerson and wife, Cathy, Homer, GA; Pam Middleton and husband, Mike, Putney; Barbara King, Evarts; and Billy Wayne Furgerson and wife, Veronica, Sweetwater, TN. Also surviving are her twin sister, Dottie Sue Rigney, Harlan; a brother, Lee Earl Rigney, Middlesboro; eleven grandchildren, Abe “Turk” Bennett, Michael Bennett, Kayla Woods, April Southerland, Jody Shuler, Katie Furgerson, Matthew “Matt” Furgerson, Whitney Chadwick, Christopher Farmer, Hayleigh Paige King and Bryson Furgerson; fifteen great-grandchildren plus one expected in November; and a host of other family and friends.

      Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

      Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday, June 10, 2020, in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Moore officiating.

      Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with her grandsons and other family serving as pallbearers.
